Become a Home Headquarters

Author: Patrick Kerley
Date: September 21, 2008

It has been two seeks since we first started asking Alaskans to help us spread the word about this campaign in their own homes. Almost 100 families from across the state have taken action and volunteered to become a home headquarters for Senator Stevens.

We hope to make this the biggest grassroots effort ever in Alaska. From Bettles Field to Cooper Landing, Kivalina to Unalakleet, Alaskans are making sure their neighbors get the facts on Senator Stevens.

We just opened our first Anchorage home headquarters in the Turnagain neighborhood. Anchorage-based television reporters and supporters alike packed into Pauline Marten’s living room as Senator Stevens spoke to the crowd. Here is a video of the Senator discussing the program and greeting supporters:

We need your help to reach our goal of a Home Headquarters in every community in Alaska. There are more than 400 polling precincts and we want to make sure Alaskans have a source for signs, buttons, and information in every one of them.

To participate, please email Janel Causey, the campaign’s Outreach Corrdinator, at janel@tedstevens2008.com or call our campaign office at (907) 339-8903.
