Senator Stevens Names Mike Tibbles Campaign Manager
Senator Ted Stevens today announced that he has hired Mike Tibbles as his campaign manager.
Tibbles most recently served as Gov. Sarah Palin’s chief of staff, and led her transition team after she was elected in November 2006. He worked on both Gov. Palin’s and John Binkley’s gubernatorial campaigns in 2006, and was a former deputy commissioner of the Department of Administration and Legislative Director for Gov. Frank Murkowski.
“Mike brings a wealth of campaign experience to our team,” said Senator Stevens. “He has an intimate knowledge of our state’s history and present challenges we face. He is battle-tested and his organization skills are first-rate. This will serve us well as we prepare for an intense campaign season.”
“This is such an important election, I am just excited to be a part of this effort,” said Tibbles. “The energy crisis has caused many Alaskans concern, but we have so much potential to build a strong future for our state, but it will take the right leadership. I believe Ted Stevens with his proven track record of delivering results for Alaskans, is the right leader to help move our state forward.”
Mike, his wife Kristy and three year-old daughter Kaelin reside in Juneau, Alaska.
